Late Night Go-To is a Filipino comfort food kitchen at 806 Sargent Ave in Winnipeg’s West End. We ladle out hearty bowls of goto — Filipino rice congee — alongside Lomi Overload noodles and street-style late-night snacks, served well past midnight Tuesday through Sunday.
Late Night Go-To began with a simple question: where do you find a warm, filling Filipino meal in Winnipeg once the kitchens shut for the night? Cooking out of the Crispy Bnch space on Sargent Ave, we set out to feed night-shift workers, students and anyone heading home from a long shift with the food Filipino families turn to at home — slow-simmered, garlicky and generous.
Our kitchen runs on long-cooked stocks, toasted garlic and plenty of onion. Bowls of goto — Filipino rice porridge — arrive loaded with your choice of meats and egg, while the Lomi Overload piles thick noodles into a rich, savoury broth. Add a plate of Filipino street-food snacks on the side and you have a meal built for a cold Winnipeg night.
There is nothing fussy about the room, and that is the point. We open at 6 pm Tuesday to Friday and 4 pm on weekends, serving until midnight midweek and until 2 am Thursday through Saturday. Closed Mondays.

Ordered the Lomi Overload at 1 am and it did not disappoint. Huge portion, thick noodles and a broth that tastes like it simmered all day.
We came by after a game and left full and happy. Casual spot on Sargent, friendly staff, and the congee is the best comfort food for a Winnipeg winter.
Takeout was ready fast and still steaming by the time we got home to the West End. The snack plate is a must-order with a bowl of goto.
